Counting down 2014!!!

12th day of Christmas! The Final Countdown!!!

It’s late, I know!!!
Yo guys,what’s up?!?
So as you’re well aware we couldn’t fit in all the goodness from 2014 in the 12 Days of Christmas countdown and The 2014 Final Countdown so we’re still going with what went down in the last months of 2014 still recapping November 2014:
November, sweet sweet November..so sweet, like Chocolate… like Chocolate Skateboards 20th anniversary X Evan Hecox X 20 years of Chocolate shred sleds at the Ba – tsu gallery in Shibuya!!!

Evan Hecox helped celebrate the 20th anniversary of Chocolate Skateboards here in Tokyo at the Ba – tsu gallery by show casing his 20 years of skate art for Chocolate skateboards with all of his deck designs for the last 20 years with Chocolate! Man he packed that gallery out with every deck from the last 20 years!

There was so much Chocolate in that gallery that Willy Wonker would have been jealous!

You can check out some of the decks here: http://www.pinterest.com/sjapan/chocolate-skateboards-20th-anniversary/

Yo guys, if you’re ever in Tokyo for Halloween make sure you drop by the Volcom store in Harajuku for the Volcom Halloween party!

Free entry with a costume, free drinks and a best costume comp and skate comp on the Volcom mini ramp!

This years party was totally sick!!! Around 150 people crammed into the Volcom store for a night of revelry and debauchery and just to have a damn good time!

The who’s who of the Japanese skate scene were there, Yuto Kojima, Hirotoshi, Hiroyuki Matsuo, Junya Fire, Kenya, Naohiro and a few other lads and also a sneaky surprize guest Mr. Pat Moore of Volcom Stones Mr Plant snowboard fame! Rad night and definitely a must go!

http://www.skateboardingjapan.com/

Yo guys,what’s up?!?

So we are almost there, counting down the 12 days of Christmas and continuing the recap of 2014, today here’s what went down in October 2014:

The etnies Bloodline Tour!!!

The etnies Bloodline tour was off the f^&king hook!!! Ryan Sheckler was out because of a busted ankle but the rest of the etnies team bought their A game and totally ripped H.L.N.A skate park a new one!

The etnies line up was Sheckler, Julian Davidson, Chris Joslin and Aidan Campbell plus etnies Japanese riders Kaito Murai and Tatsuma Masuda.

While Sheckler watched on, the etnies crew busted it all out! Davidson threw down some huge no-complys down the stair set, Joslin well…you gotta watch the vid down below! Too epic for words and Campbell just kept throwing hammers till his shred sled couldn’t take it no more and snapped it’s way off to the great skateboard graveyard in the skies!

Tatsuma was killing it too with some mad tricks down the stair set but Murai really lit it up by hucking himself down the set again and again and again trying to nail a BS 180 kicky and finally stomped it for the last trick of the day! Man that was totally epic and once again you gotta check out our vid to see this madness!

8th day of Christmas!

Yo guys,what’s up?!?

So as we countdown the 12 days of Christmas and continue the recap of 2014, today here’s what went down in May 2014:

Our friend ‘Chuck’ and his brand new Powell Peralta AT80’s had an up close and personal experience with 3 taxis after a shootout sent his board across 3 lanes of traffic! Broken board, bent trucks and the first time I’ve seen a wheel break clean in half! F&^ken cool!!!

Had a good scout around the Keisei line and found some sneaky wet day spots. Not the best in the world and nothing to write home to mum about but better then a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, or a blunt one! Check out our pinterest page for more of that! Don’t run with scissors!😉

                                                          http://www.pinterest.com/sjapan/

And fellow Skateboarding Japan man Jon ‘The Jay’ Gee found a nice little spot for a J-Pop cruise around Koyama Dairi park, looks like a good Sunday chill roll with some beers and beats!

Found the rad Minami Senju banks and took the crew there for a sesh! Mad spot with sick banks stretching for a good kilometer or so along the bank of the Arakawa river. This spot is totally sick and if you like good bankage and plenty of it then definitely hit this place up! Check out the Pinterest link down below for more pics!

                                         http://www.pinterest.com/sjapan/minami-senju-banks-1/
Found a rad flatground spot over at Oji Ekimae which has some cool ledges and lot’s of flatground to shred. Not a bad spot, no apartment buildings so no noise problem and close to a convenience store to stock up on beer while you’re skating…mmm beer! Check out  Skateboarding Japans facebook for all the pics and map.
